State Farm wants me to pay $499 a month for my 09 tc! AllState was $600 something. I might have to wait until my rates go down to buy my car.

My insurance cost is insane. I don't remember numbers off the top of my head, but i know it's high. For some reason, it's considered a sports car, and is in the same category as the mustang. Since when is a car with 161 horses a sports car?

Nope, they said it is that high because I'm 18, have only been driving 2 years and the car is so new. Never been in an accident or had any speeding tickets.

If you're under 25 you're going to be paying so much you can't afford a new car. Unless you have nice parents that will put their name on the title first then yours second so your credit score will still go up (if you don't miss payments) and you can use their (older) age for the insurance. If your parents wont put their name on it, it means they don't want you to have a new car or they don't trust you, or what have you.

Less than a grand a year for an 06 xB and an 05 Crown Vic and my house, and I got the fullest coverage I can get on each.

I think insurance companies are just riding the 'young driver' pony for all they can get. I mean, seriously, with rates that high, you'd think the tC sneaks out of the driveway at night and jacks suckers.

Yeah, I realize my mistake in getting the tC to save gas $. It added $100 a month to my insurance bill which negates the money saved by not driving my V8 pickup.
