the cost of the insurance on my tc is $50 more per month than for my dad who drives a 325i. the main reason for that though is probably cause im only 19.

430$ for six months is cheap! Holy hell.

My brother was paying over 1000 for six months on his S2K

The scion tc is the most frequent car I see that has a damaged bumper in the front or rear in Richmond, VA area.

My benz was 28 a month to insure with basic for va law, my xa is like 358 for 6 months with full coverage for a 30 year old with no point, no accidents, never even been pulled over.

I pay $114 a month with Allstate, full coverage with additional insurance for my audio. My insurance just went down, it used to be $140 a month.

What a load of horsecrap. Tell them that Toyota just put out a statement saying they're only raising their prices by 0.8%, and then ask them what percent they're raising your rate.

That was Farmers! I was paying like 890 for 6 months. They had raised it another 78 bucks. I have good grades and 8 years perfect driving record. If you want to ask me, I deserve something way cheaper!

Exactly why I switch insurance companies.

I can't say I'm surprised. Check out www.wreckedscions.com and browse the tC section for a half-hour or so. It AMAZES me what you crazy f**king tC drivers can do to your cars. o_0

Our little toasterboxes may be a magnet for F-150's, but ain't NO box-driver ever run into a utility pole sideways at 40 MPH. >_<

Stay safe, people!

My insurance went down $30 a month from the tc to the 350z

I though for sure it would go up, not that im complaining i just didnt realize how expensive the tc was to insure.

I dont understand how thats possible. I paid like $110 a month for full coverage before I turned 25. How exactly is that expensive?

i go through farmer's, they charge me about 900$ for full coverage every 6 months. ugh. my mom just refuses to switch it (we don't even live in the same state!) because all of her vehicles and whatnot are with them and she swears there's some 'huge' discount. 900$ is not cheap!

My insurance before I turned 21 was a little over 2k every 6 months here in AZ.

Can't believe people are wining about a couple hundred, lol. I was paying in the mid 3's per.

Now, however, I have USAA for insurance and I only pay like 112. Went from 310 to 112 with the change of an insurance company. I stuck with the same one because they said they'd give me a discount for my 21st bday... turned out to be $100 knocked off my 6 month premium. I decided to go with USAA for a SLIGHTLY better deal.

When I wanted to buy an Evo8 I asked for a quote with my old insurance company (Travelers ftl) and my 6 month was in the 3k range. Too bad too, I was so ready to be an Evo owner.

Thats with not one point on my licence by the way.

I pay $629/6mo. for two cars....full coverage.....including the tC.

That and the fact that we're over 35 helps alot. My 20y/o neighbor pays over $2000 liability for his P.O.S. Cavalier, while I have 4 cars and a motorhome and only pay $1200 full coverage. Thats about the only upside of getting old I can think of.
