I will say:
I'm starting to believe that xB1 IS a cult car or will be. (I mean look at the amont of posts and views) I would have liked to have seen what an even squarer box would have looked like, but xB1 is the logical conclusion reached with this styling. That's clear now from the back-pedaling of xb2 styling. That's cool, I'll just hang on to my box till it dies or some other car strikes me as even cooler.

It could be a Honda, Nissian, Toyota, BMW, etc... I don't care whether it will be a Scion or not, I am loyal to an iconic model of car, not the make.

Yes!!! Thank you Scion!!! You've helped make a potentially difficult question all too easy! I was biting my nails waiting for the xB2, afraid that it would take my eyes off of my first love: the xB1. Now, I know for sure that I'll keep her till at least 2010 when the xB3 gets release. (That's when my payments end anyway.) Unfortunately, if the new xB does crap in sales, then they might be too chicken to release an xB3. But that'll just mean that I'll keep my xB1 until the wheels fall off!

I mean c'mon! A 2.4? Does an xB really need that? I'm happy with my 1.5 (plus intake and exhaust). 1.8 would be nice for those without an exhaust setup, but a 2.4? You might as well stick the gas station handle into the toilet. Bleh.

I really do wish the new xB was the bB OD. That thing would sell like hotcakes!

Actually, I like the Materia way better than the new xB. It looks much more proportional to xB1.

it's going to come down to price. if you can get the 08 xB in the $15k-16k range then ok, but if you push closer to $18k-20k then you are really going to have a hard time vs. other manufactures even though it is a Toyota.

18-20 is VERY dangerous territory for Scion in regards to the xB considering an element can be nabbed for 17k. I really hope Scion stays with their pricing close to where it is. Tyically every model year on most cars the price goes up about 3-450 dollars. Guess only time will tell.

I will fill you in on more detail stuff later. Just wanted to say, keep on posting so I can see where we stand.

I have to say one thing though.....HHR? C'mon, pass the pipe. The only thing similar is the it has four wheels and tires. I shamefully rented and drove on of those HHR things, at the Toyota dealer show of all places, last year in San Antonio. The dang windshield header is so low that I thought all the stoplights in Texas were higher than those in Cali. At pole position I couldn't see the friggen lights. I had to duck underneath and look up. I later realized the H-point (point where your @$$ touches the seat) was so high and the front window so low.

Sorry, I really don't see the similarity at all. Okay off the soap box, onto the floor again.

Anyway, I'll check back in a few days and post some details on the kits, changes to the produciton kits (yes, there will be some minor "improvements" to the showcar kits) and so on.

Thanks!!!
Hey Troy, Nice to see you on the boards! The 5axis kits are off the hook and judging by the users here it seems to be a soon hot seller. I'm not diggin the TRD wheels but love the SC they added and the big brake kit.....BANAZI Troy-san!

back up light? don't like it. should have been two of 'em. If there is a squared off bodykit ever developed(doubt it tho) I would consider doing one. other wise' I'll stick to my xB. For all those that are saying cool it looks, fess up and buy one. Then you can buy JDM parts on eBay for it. Oh wait,! it's not from Japan!! So there shouldn't be any parts that are"JDM"!! Thank God.

I'm not a fan of the new xB yet. Maybe that will change when they come out and I see what people can do with them.
I do like the SC'd engine tho'. That'd be sweet if that would drop down into our engine bays.

The t2b reminds me of the predator mask and since the xb2 looks quite a bit like it, it reminds me of it as well.
