Kia's will never have a good resale value. Look at Hyundai. They've got a GREAT lineup and the resale value of thier line has never been that great. Kia's got lower quality and it will be a long time before they come close to huyndai's customer service and quality of product. The resale will be rock bottom.
Please don't assume I don't know that the Cube was out before the bB. I was saying that long before the xB ever made it to our shores, but that was in Japan and has ABSOLUTLY NOTHING to do with this conversation. I don't even know why you would bring that up..............? It also has nothing to do with the fact that the Current US market cube looks like a car from a DR Seuss book. Cube=square, not round.
Toyota was considered crap here in the late 1950's and early 60's with the Toyopet crown because it was underpowered and couldn't maintain hwy speeds without overheating because Japan didn't properly understand the United states hwy system and it's extremely long distances. Thing's were a lot different then. The world was not anywhere near being as global of an economy as it is now.

Putting that aside the brand was built on listening to consumers and building cars and options that they wanted. Casein point was the XB2 and the Miami trip where that and XD was revealed....a dn it more than $1500 and it is a terrible value...but hey lets see if they sell them...I am betting they're going to struggle to sell them

What does seniority have to do with my opinion? Forums are built around $0.02 and information. If you won't purchase a Scion, I'm sure another person will. It's not a big deal. If Scion as a brand struggles, they'll re-invent the formula, I don't see a bailout coming because people don't like the latest RS.

Please. This is a sorry excuse for an RS for ANY of the Scion models. I thought the xB one was horrible, but the xD takes the freakin cake. The color looks alright with those better pictures but... no thanks. I'd sooner get an RS1 than this one.

my 2 cents will echo many others, a very trendy, blah kinda green, no performance upgrades whatsoever, lights i can already get, a radio i can get better, a spoiler i can pay EXTRA for, door sill that are actually cool w/the rs text on em but , no, not for 1500 hundo extra.
i paid 2g's extra for my rs1 goodies, but i got paint no one has, bodykit no one has, springs, spoiler, REAL color matched fabric, STANDOUT color-keyed interior and a TRULY UNIQUE rare-ish car.
LOL I feel bad for the first guy/gal who shows up on the boards with one. We're all raggin on it...BUT, i think we have some sound reasons for it NOT to be considered one of the "great" scion RS releases. "meh" for some of us might be "WoWzers"to others. Get what works for you i guess.

those that don;t like it, don;t worry about it. it looks weird and thats what Scion is about. you ain't gonna buy it anyway. so when someone rolls up to a meet in one, you can all tell that person their car is funky and ugly to their face and it's a big fail for the RS series.

What they should do is stop putting out the stupid release series and just offer the paint. I thought Scions were supposed to be "hip" and "edgy"... why are they selling them in Camry paint colors?

Couple of ways of looking at it... They didn't lower or put a DAMD kit on it but the price is lower so you at least have some $$$ to put a set of wheels/tires/airdam kit on it if ya like. Wonder what the head unit would cost to swap out in my RS1.0?

color seems ok, but it seems like it coulda been a color thats houlda been in there regular line up, its nothing crazy or special to really make it "Release Series" but hey neither was the RS 3.0 tc/4.0 tc and the 5.0 xb

I have this radio in my RS1 and I love it. Lots of people rag on it, but for the price I got I think it works wonderful.
As for the RS package, I don't think its really that bad. You get a pretty decent navigation unit and some unique paint (whether you like it or not is purely subjective and I'm sure the color looks totally different in person). The door sills and silver accents arent something im going to notice everyday so whatever.
So while some people might think it sucks that it didnt come with a kit, or wheels, or seats, some people might like that.
It keeps costs down, and it still gives you the option of adding ANY kit that you want, and adding whatever wheels you'd like. (etc. for everything else)
