i have them in the fogs.... in my xB.... and i didnt have any problems.... though ive now added a yellow vinyl layer, and it turned purple to white.... go figure

why not? the harness would fry?

I am pretty sure the harness will fry over time. With real HID bulbs, they actually run on less power than the halogens. However, there is a much higher initial spike of energy usage when you first turn them on. The stock wiring just isn't designed to handle this.
