above the steering wheel column there is a plastic boot that has wires running through the firewall.

Take a coat hanger and poke a little hole through it and stick it through. It comes out behind the air box.

I found it easier to just go through the other way. Take some scissors and cut the little nipple. Then push a wire through from the engine bay in through the nipple into the inside. Could fit quite a few wires through that little thing. I'm running 3 16guage wires and 1 10 gauge wire through that same hole. Heres a picture of mine like a half a year ago. Only one wire goin through it but it clearly shows what were both talking about.
This angle is if you were to look from the Engine block a little to your right on the firewall

This angle is if you were to lay down on the driver side floor and look up underneath the dash.

thank you both for the info. I made sure to test my connections with the switch and everything works fine.

It can be somewhat difficult when you do all this work solo, but it does have a sense of accomplishment to it.

No doubt. I've done all of my electrical work myself so far. All of which was a learning experience. My Cathode underbody kit which is currently being expanded took some 12 hours to complete. but the sense of accomplishment is great. So far I have interior lights which are being expanded, underbody lights which are also being expanded, and I hooked up a system to the stock headunit. All of which I did myself, had to learn along the way, and got a great sense of accomplishment after. Just Be Sure To Fuse Anything Electrical You Do!!

I have cathodes setup inside the car total of 8. I keep getting told to use neons instead of leds or cathodes under the car because they are brighter.
I just did a hard wire for my xm and blew two fuses because like a moron I connected it to the wrong connections. (hooked up backwards). But I finally got it.
I will be replacing the speakers, adding a sub, head unit, color change on the dash and center console, finish it off with some trim color changes. That should be all that I need. for awhile. That is just the inside of course. More ideas and wants for the exterior, and engine Thats a whole nother book.

Oh I can't imagine. The 10 guage was hard enough I could only imagine a 0 guage. You could use neons if you want. Personally I think my cathodes look a lot better then the neon I've seen around here. And now that All the gaps will be filled it'll look even better.

camera exaggerates the gaps big time but there was a small gap. I'll take pics tonight when I finish my new and improved Cathode Underbody Kit.
