Its pretty close to how I want it. still got a little run off left to wet sand but I'm done for today. I've been wetsanding/polishing for the past 2 hours. I think its time to buy myself a rotary buffer. I used one can on both tails and tbl but it was barely enough. I actually had to make the can last, meaning it was sputtering on the tbl, because my hobby shop was out of the stuff. Luckily it still came out lookin good. Anyone wanting to do this, I definitely recommend getting 2 cans. Anyway I don't think it came out lookin too bad. Thanks Diesel!

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll get some closer shots later today. Yea I know, I didn't think it'd be this difficult to buff by hand haha. I'm using McGuires PlasticX to take out the dull. Then polishing with Turtlewax Polishing Compound. I'm a big fan of turtlewax. Any product of theirs that i've tried I've been very happy with.

 

i've always used rubbing compound first then plastiX and third some wax but those look good too

Nope not yet. Had a cop following me the other day for a little while. Got a little worried that he was gonna pull me over but nope. Didn't do anything. So far I'm good. I'm driving down to FL in a month. Wondering if I should maybe swap in the untinted ones I got layin around for the trip or not.

 

hmmm. maybe. I've heard Florida is strict. You can always just tell them your from NY and didn't know the laws there.

^^ I am actually thinkin about doing them for 40-50. Take about a day to do, two at most. I even got a spare set layin around I could let you borrow while I'm workin on the tails.

 

i do mine for 40 in about 7 hours
