Tonight while driving I realized my driver side HID wasnt working. I popped the hood rechecked all the connections which were fine and kept trying, but NO luck. I felt the ballast and it was Cold with no buzzing sound which I normally hear coming from them. I just got these a couple months ago. I doubt its the bulb, cuz I would think I would still at least here a buzzing noise and the ballast to be warm. Do you think its the ballast?

 

a swap of the ballasts will tell. switch them around, and turn your lights on, if the driver side is good but the passenger is out, then your ballast is bunk!

reputable companies usually have good warranties on the ballasts they sell...

Nothing worse then driving a car with nice HIDS to only have one of them work... EEEK

 

when one of my ballasts blew out it flickered light a strobe light when i was drivin down the road...haha

It was the 10 amp fuse, replaced the fuse and shes up and working again! Thank goodness, I was worried. Of course I had ripped apart practically everything, and the last thing I checked was the fuse box lol (what a dummy I am). But after its all said and done im glad it was just a fuse and not the ballast or bulb cuz I love my dang HIDizzles

 

i had the same thing happen to me. the only downside, is my fuse keeps blowing. so i have a box of fuses waiting!

 

Damn im wondering if I use a 15 instead of a 10 amp, maybe that will help.
