Iceman, so I'm guessing he just 3mm it to the top of the glass on his roof. That's why you can see it so distinctly. But you do have to be looking for it, ya know? I wonder if you could 3mm the LED strip to the back edge of the rear roof glass panel facing backward? It's parallel to the rear hatch glass so maybe that wouldn't work.

Thoughts?
I was thinking of maybe a 5mm. But instead of the leds faceing backwards towards the glass. I would place the leds facing a "frosted" plexiglass and 3m that plexiglass to the rear window. So that plexiglass distribute the light.

Hmm...I'd have to see that! In the video of the one the guy did, his is facing backward towards the car behind you. So you're saying the frosted plexiglass would be 3mm to plexiglass to the rear window? What form would the plexiglass be?

That M3 style roof spoiler does look tempting. I think it'd look good.

And it wouldn't cost that much. Check ebay for the spoiler. Looks like you can get one for $25 with shipping plus a light strip from Oznium. 80 bucks and your done.

You'd run them underneath the edge of the glass at the top, along the inner dressings and to the TBL connector.

This is what I got so far... Not the greatest but it is only a 3D rendering. It won't be as thick or as short as the one in the pictures. It will be alot thinner and alot longer.

KK, can you kind of explain it a bit? I get it sorta, but always good to hear from the designer.

its made up of 4 pieces. 1 long piece (back), the long piece with the little tab sticking up (front), and 2 small pieces. So i'm going to place the led strip on the back piece and sandwich the front piece on top of the back piece with the 2 smaller pieces holding the front and back pieces from each other a certain distance. The Leds will shine to the front piece and it'll be like a light bar. The little tab and the side is where I will use to mount it to the back window up against the glass.

i don't have a garage or anything to work in so I work outside but right now its like 40 degrees and snow on the ground so it might take me some time to come up with a working model.

Cool!
Meanwhile, I'll talk with my buddy who has the M3 roof spoiler idea and see how it would work.

LMAO...ideas bro, thoughts, comments, inspiration....don't make me prey it out of you .

Seriously though, if people have knowledge to share, share it! In addition to this (it's apart of the project), I am wondering who the person is to contact for LED swaps in Central/SoCal?
