I'm waiting on my 24" led strip to come in.. I'm going to wire it to the brake lights and have it under the lip on the bottom of the trunk.. I've done a mock up in photoshop, and it looks cool. Sorta recessed lighting.. Hope it doesn't look like a smiley face though..

You know, I thought of that too, but I don't have a lip spoiler. I think you'll like the results bro, and post up the picture of the photoshop mockup.

Just stumbled upon this thread, I think it came out great man. Post some more pics (up close, daylight etc...)

I vote make a garnish that covers the TBL area completely... and Ideally mold it into the trunk for a completely shaved look...

Good idea...whenever I see shaved garnishes I think it looks out of place IMO cause it looks like something (the badge) is supposed to be there but it isn't lol molding it would clean up those lines

You know, I was actually surprised at how well it worked out.

Yeah, I take a long time planning something in hopes that it will be "perfect", but I'm very happy with it.

Yeah, I'm going to be deleting it. I'm not trying to figure out how I want to go about it. I think I want to try and extend the garnish upward to cover the area but what to use and how is still R&D.

It looks like 5axis deleted the TBL (modified the main trunk piece) instead of extending the garnish. looks super clean

Yeah, that is what they did. However, at this current stage, it'd be cool to not have to repaint the hatch just to blend in the area. I think it should turn out alright in the end, I just have to design it in my head as always.

I did figure out, though, how to change the lights on the TBL w/o even opening it up. There's a little strip behind the main section you could put LED's to and just rewire. The light shines up and reflects outward just like the ones internally do.

Nonetheless, I just need to figure out how to flush out the OEM tbl. I want this ish done for Scion Night.
