Default black scion license plate frames

Where else can you get the black scion license plate frames? I've checked mcgeorges and trdsparks and they only have gold, silver, and gun metal. I don't wanna shell out $40 for frames from the dealer.

Yeah don't get one of the OBX frames, I got the silver one, and the finish flaked off it within six months, not only that the bolts it comes with super rust. Maybe its a new england thing, but I would've imagined the thing could held up a least a year.

I'm not sure, but the only black license plate frames they sell at my dealership are the higher quality (I assume) ones that are meant for the lexus cars they sell- but like he said they charge like $37-$40 for them..... I can't seem to find a nice quality one anywhere, ebay, napa, auto zone- they are all plastic or cheesy......

Seriously. My gunmetal frames were sex for all of about a month. Now they're all faded and worn looking. I just can't believe any car company would want their name on such a junky frame and still charge top dollar for it. Funny thing is (and this is what I plan to do next time) you could totally buy a frame for under $10 at Wal-mart and put a stupid SCION decal on the bottom yourself and it would probably last the life of the car.

Damn, I didn't think the finish would chip on them...maybe a lil wax on the frame might help hehe. Thanks for the info though, I'm gonna have to rethink this.

yeah the OBX frame was easily my most regretable purchase for my car. I would like to get a simple/quality one- I'd even pay good money for it- I'd like to get a nice quality metal frame and just have it powder coated and pair that with stainless steel bolts, so not to have to deal with the rust stains on my plate.....

truth is, I've never been satisfied with OBX's quality, and this is just a prime example of why. I swore I'd never buy anything from them again, but I admit I fell in love with the gunmetal frames and now I'm kicking myself for giving in.
