i was wondering if i put some sound deadening underneath the car on top the exhaust heatshield where the midpipe is would it melt..because that thing rattles like crazy and i was wondering if i did it would it make it stop

 

That normally catches on fire...it won't melt

 

lol...well is there another way to get it to stop rattling. maybe spray it with some undercoat

 

I'm not really sure what your talking about but undercoating catches on fire too I would just find a high temp undercoating

 

mine rattled too.

10 minutes with tin snips later, i had no more heatshield.

 

Yeeup, make like Neothin or bend it out of the way because theres not much you can apply to it that won't melt, stink, or light on fire.

but uhm... you got an aftermarket exhaust that might be rattling against it? or had exhaust work done?

 

Ugh. I just hit 35k, and noticed that my exhaust is starting to rattle.
