the answer is dont do it. it wont work.

what you can do is get a few Blue LED's and put them in place of the city lights and have them turn on when the car is locked. but this will ultimately run down your battery and then you'd look really dumb.

the 8k is also killing you in the vision dept.

like i've said... this thread is a fail.. cannot paint the reflectiive housing any color or else it would not do its job and another.. in the first photo, its only blue because its reflecting the color of the bulb, that is it.... but hey i think its such a baller idea be different and paint it blue. krylon paint is best, and if you want blue light take your bulbs and dip it in blue paint and let it hang dry and dip it again for better results...
good luck

to this thread. if you want the chrome housing to look blue like the picture of the tC you posted, you need to replace your HIDs with this cheap blue tinted halogens. You can find them at Pep Boys or ebay. nuff said

jesus stop being a kid about it. if you want blue chrome, get rid of your HID and get blue tinted halogens like above people have said. if you want to paint the chrome reflectors, go ahead, but itll ruin any light you have going on the road. theres a reason why theyre chrome...it reflects light back onto the road...if you paint it blue, youll get less of a reflection = less light = less bright = illegal anyways once the cops see blue headlights from your 8000k HID kit.

hmm, if you already knew the answer then why did you ask the question? when people give opinions you ignore it, when people give you a straight fact, you bash on it.

After all this talk, I'm kinda curious what would happen if you were to use some of that Vans lens tint on the reflector.

wouldnt it reduce the light emitted? i mean thats what tints are for right?.. and im pretty sure it would melt the tint if it was in the housing..

Yeah, there would be a reduction in light output. I don't know if it would hold up to the heat though.

Can I borrow your headlights for a week or so?
