ebay hid question
Ok so I just have a question. Please no flames or opinions of like/dislike.
I've been interested in HID's for a while now and I think I found what I like. I have an 05 so I just have reflector housings meaning I'll need to get projectors. Has anyone had any experience with these headlights? Does this seem like a good buy? I have done a little research already and I found a post from over a year ago that said that the lens will yellow over time and these are cheaply made. I just want to know that I am getting quality parts. I realize they aren't top of the line but they are better than the OE lamps. Thoughts?

I bought those once..fitment sucked..LEDs on one didn't work..and i thought it looked ____ty IMO once on the car..just gave it a cheesy look.. Luckily the LEDs weren't workin ao I got a full refund..I'd try and find some OEM ones or do a retrofit with some quality shrouds..

And I quote:
"
- Correct for Halogen Style headlights
- Does not fit HID (High Intensity Discharge) or Xenon Headlights"
Yes all 08+ stock headlights can run HID's.
The pair/setup you have linked to ebay are garbage like most other aftermarket headlights. They will fog up, the LED gizmo's will burn out easily, and fitment will suck. You won't get quality from anything in that kit.
Save your pennies, get the 08+ headlights with DDMTuning HID's.

Local junkyard? haha I live in Reno man, all the junkyards around here have late model minivans and Caprice's. Thanks for the tips everyone, I've liked the 08's anyway just didn't want to shell out the money. Looks like I know what I'm getting now. Thanks

I think you may be confused...
There are basically 4 kinds of headlight housings.
Halogen reflectors (ie 05-07 tcs)
HID reflectors (ie IS300)
Halogen projectors (current Camrys)
HID projectors (S2000 and TSX)
In terms of light out put when an HID kit is used, generally...
Halogen reflector < Halogen projector < HID reflector < HID projector.
Just because you buy a projector headlight doesn't automatically mean it's for HIDs.
Most if not all aftermarket projector headlights are meant for halogen bulbs.
There are some halogen housings that do a decent job of taking advantage of HIDs like the 08 tC projectors and 8th gen Civics.
If it doesn't take D2R or D2S sized bulbs, it ain't true HIDs.
Hope this helps.
