Default Fuse Help

I just installed some LED tail lights for my 08. When you hit the brakes one tail light will just turn off. If you swap the plugs around they both turn on when you hot the breaks but the running lights wont come on. To me, it sounds like the fuse needs to get an upgrade as they are not getting enough power. Which fuse is for the tail lights tho? The manual and fuse box diagram was not helpful, nor was google.

LEDs pull less power than standard bulbs thats why sometimes you have to run an inline resistor with the LEDs so it doesn't think the bulb is blown, so I don't think you would have to upgrade the fuse. I had to do the inline resistor mod with the turn signals in the headlights, and no changes to the fuse.

On my 06 scion tc, when I had LEDs on the tail lights, I didn't have that issue. No inline resistor needed, or a change in the fuse.

Just curious what kind of LEDs are you running?

Oh man thats sucks. I was really hoping it was something simple. I called Toyota and the tech said he thinks something is grounding out.

Its these ones:

Don't quote me on this...
I believe even if you were to change the fuse, it wouldn't provide more power to the LEDs/Bulbs than its already getting... its just to protect against excess current...

As far as I know you usually don't have to do extra modding to aftermarket tail lights... You might have gotten a bad set >.<

Yes as stated above, its not the fuses. I wish I could change the title.

I think if you edit your first post, you can change the title of the thread... Its been a while since i've been on this website >.<

Just to make sure its not a fuse problem... The tail lights you had on their previously... if you put them back on... do they still light up properly?

I clicked on edit but it wouldnt let me change the title :/

Putting these in kind of sucked and I would rather not swap out to the old ones for a test. *sigh* this just sucks.
