Default Headlight problem

So my passenger headlight does this crazy thing where it won't come on when I turn on my headlights, but if I get out of the car and tap the housing it comes on. Does anyone have a clue why it's doing this and how to fix it? The dealership says they wanna charge me 100 bucks just to troubleshoot it. Eff that.

Could be the bulb going bad. I just noticed this today with mine. Its the first time I've seen it. Also noticed one of my hatch garnish lights wasn't on so I tapped it and it came back on. Probably just time to get new bulbs. I figure I drive with them on all the time so figure three years constantly using them I don't mind replacing bulbs.

bulb is going out. when you hit the light the filament hits the contact and stays lit. get a set of bulbs.

the only reason the dealer said that quote is it was over the phone. they wouldn't charge you that much if it was just the headlight blown out. but it does cost a lot to change headlamp bulbs in a dealership. get a set, replace both, DON'T TOUCH THE GLASS, and be on your merry way :-)
