the headlights wont turn on by themselves. I have to hit the lights for them to turn on. does anyone know what the problem could be?

What lights do you have? Are they OEM?

And what do you mean you have to "hit" them? Do you have to tap the actual headlight housing itself?

...well kind of. If you have the lights on when you shut off the car, the moment you open the door they turn off. If you keep the light switch left at the on position they will turn on upon start up. That's it to the "auto-on" feature.

LOVE this feature. Means I never have to touch the lights.
