does anyone know what size hid bulbs to get for a 2009 tc?

 

2009 low beam bulbs are H11.

 

since we are on the subject, and i belive it was already covered and i am just looking for a quick anwser on this thread instead of making another one.

Is there any down side to useing hids in the 08-09 projectors? like melting...? j/w cause i am getting a pair of 08's and wanted to make sure i would f^ck myself by using hids.

 

no issues with mine and i have had them for about 8 months now. i just used a relay instead of the factory wire harness

 

i already have a whole hid setup with a relay and all so when i get my new lights i'm just gonna but new bulbs. i just wanted to make sure i wasn't going to mess up my lights.

 

yea H11 for low beams and i have 10k for sale lol... no melting in 08 i have an 08 with 43k just use the rely

 

no issues at all....
i had my HIDs the day i brought the car home...

thanks for the offer tcnoob, but i am going to get the same 8k that i have now, just in H11... maybe 6k

 

H11 bulbs and no issues for nearly 20 months now on my 08,buy a good kit and if you plan on driving at night do not go higher than 6000k bulbs,when it rains it is nearly impossible t see the road out with higher than 6000k bulbs in the rain.

 

is that because of the projectors, cause i have 8k in my 05 headlights now and i have to visibility issues. rain or not.

 

i dont think so. anything higher than 6K is blue as all heck. i got 5K and i want to switch to 4300K for more output.

 

I really suggest 4300k because of the output.

4300k > everything... Used to have a 6000k, but next to 4300k, there is a difference. If you really want that white with a hint of blue, get 5000k...

 

^x2 I've had 8000K, 6000K, and 4300K. Best visibility, and they definitely still have a little hint of blue ... I can see it on other people's bumpers, haha.

 

hmm that 8K doesnt look so bad. i guess it depends on the kit :/
