mmm that is about right

from what i see, the ballast do not detect if the elements in the bulb(what htey call salt) is solid or a gas. When you turn on your lights, the inital amp is higher to change this solid into a gas. It will then reduce it's amp because it do not need the extra amps anymore. It reduces it low enough to keep the salt as the gas form.

So now you turn your lights on and off. The ballast once again sends the high current into the bulb not knowing that it is already in the gas form which burns causes the salts to break down more, which reduces it's life span

it is like making soup. You boil it, then lower the temp to simmering when you put in the veggies. If you keep it boiling at high temp. Your veggies will break down (potatoes will melt and become small)

also if you didn't change your wiring harness... your harness will definitely burn if you constantly turn on and off your HID lights since your wires will be exposed to the higher current longer!

another thing. you know how you can leave your lights on, turn off your engine, and open the door and the lights shuts off? when you get HIDs, start turning off your lights! because you usually get inyour car, put your car key in, then your lights turns on before the engine do. then when you crank it, the lights kinda flickers. BAD! XD
