Default HID OEM Projector

Been reading up on projectors for a few days now.
just recently got a good deal on a hid kit, comes with bulbs, ballasts, cords and what not for 70$. not too sure what it comes with completly but its on the way. i got h11 8000k ones
and i have a few questions, if anyone could help, i would gladly appreciate it.
i had to buy that kit quickly cuz a friend was ordering them himself and i jumped on the deal also last minute.
i was thinking about installing projectors on my tc but was unsure exactly how to make/do it.
so i have to go find/buy tsx/s2k projectors to install into my tc? are those the only 2 i can look for?
does that change the bulb size that i need instead of the h11's?
i see alot of threads saying oem 08+ projectors, does that mean my lights are projectors already?
sorry for the potentially stupid questions or easy ones, but i am new to modding cars :]

If you have an 08+ tc then you already have projectors. They are the glass circlular dome inside the headlight. If your confused just google 07 and 08 lights. Youll see the difference. And you can use any projector really but the ones listed are top notch. And yes your bumb size will change depending on what projector you would use.

^^like he said you already have projectors if you have an 08. All you do is plug the kit in and put the bulbs in the headlights. Its not that hard, there are diy's on here more than likely. Also 8k's are going to look really blue and you wont be able to see very well in rain.

lame... past year, some lady hit my car. she paid for damages but she recommended her "personal mechanic" he fixed up my car again. he replaced my headlights with 07 ones.. :[ how much do a 08+ pair go for? and once i get em its just easy as popping in the bulbs?

also, what would be a better way of approaching my situation having 07 headlights and the hid kit already
1) get the parts and such to make the projectors myself?
or
2)buy the 08+ headlight projector set?

Here you go...LINK 08'+ Style headlights

I caught the headlight retrofitting bug a few months ago and test alot of configurations.
BTW the 07' reflectors with 8K with glare into the oncoming drivers eyes badly, your likely to get flash. If you do 08'+ headlights get Morimoto 4300K bulbs, in 2 months they will drift to 5K and look pure white.

if youre willing to spend more money, then a retrofit with some s2k or tsx projectors into a 07 housing would be nicer, but the 08+ OEM projectors work very nicely already. the "Depo" 08+ OEM style headlights would also work. they are pretty much the same as the original factory ones, just made by an aftermarket company. same design and such for about half the price of the originals from a dealership...

i have an 09 car, but my headlights were replaced last year with 07 or lower ones :[ i can tell theres no projectors in there like 08+ ones should have. how much would a pair of 08+ headlight/projectors cost me? or a pair of tsx/s2k projectors? gonna be searching junkyards in person or used ones online. and thank you for the help you guys provided me already! much appreciated.

Where are you guys putting the ballast for your HIDs? The passenger side is kind of tough to find a good location.

I had mine installed underneath the front bumper directly below the headlights when I was using DDM or Morimoto's, also the dual relay was under the driver's side.

our car use halogen bulbs in a projector housing. using a HID kit in our projector housing may not give optimal light output than if you were compare to cars that come with OEM HID projectors (NOT OEM HALOGEN PROJECTORS). these are very different lenses - thats why people retrofit with tsx/s2k lenses, because they're specifically designed to be used with HID bulbs.

I have modified a set of new TC H11 Halogen with custom curved shields and a Prisma clear lens with pretty good results, I'm currently running this setup until my new set is complete. The major drawback is using aftermarket HID bulbs which run hotter, have poor alignment sometimes and color shift faster.

I bought my OE projectors for the 06 tC. AM-Autoparts has them and from what I had put on it wasn't bad. I had to mess with the wiring to get the H11 normal bulbs to work until my H11 hids will come in. The older headlights got boring and were too bright. I'm loving the projectors. Btw OE are pretty good for the price you pay. I don't see why people are complaining about the differences between OE and OEM. Same product just not made from the factory.

I had a set of those exact headlights, Depo/Eagle Eyes 08'+ Projectors style for testing and to use the plastic internal brackets. Virtually identical from the outside, but the a few minor quality differences. I would use the Depo headlights if anyone was planning a retrofit!

The tC's stock projectors ARE NOT suited for HID's. This isn't to say you can put a cheapy plug and play kit in, but they are not HID Projectors, and still create hot spots and glare.

With the kit the OP ordered, he cannot just get projectors and do a retrofit. He can buy 08+ headlights and use them with the plug and play.

SlvrPnda OE and OEM are the same thing fyi.
