Default HID Problem

I have had my HID kit installed for well over 6 months with absolutely no problems. Just recently, maybe Friday night? I have started having problems. I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this before I decide to take my bumper off because I have ballasts and wires all tucked.

The lights will flicker from 30 sec to 2 minutes and turn on by themselves without the car being on or the headlight switch. Second, when they aren't flickering and the car is turned on then the headlight switch is turned on the lights will not go on until about 2 minutes later.

Not sure if its a ballast problem or touching wireless. When I drive at night I have to put my fuse in and when I get out of the car I have to pull the fuse so the lights don't just turn on.

yea sounds like some wiring problems.......i had similar issues but i have a relay and about 3 months or so the fuses in the relay actually melted inside the fusebox on the relay wire and was wondering why my lights were flickering and sometimes they would go out and work and not work so what i did was replace my relay harness and put electrical tape over the fuse postion so the heat wouldnt get to it

I had almost the exact same problem. My HID's would just turn on without the car being on or light turned on. The problem was fixed by replacing the relay that is attached to the wire harness. I purchased a new relay at Radio Shack.

I forgot to mention that this was caused by water entering inside the relay.
