its combined. red is hot and black is ground. its easy to install. I can't describe the block with out a pic.

I need help. I have 4 led strips. I want to add em to my engine bay.I need to make my own harness and add a switch. but with a block its easier.where can I get a block?

 

.. im assuming allt hel ights have thier own posive and negative lead.. no factory harness... personalty ild extend each one to reach the fuse block and power each one individually.. and you can have a realay hooked to whatever swtich you want to turn them on.. id strongly strongly strongly s uggest a realy. dotn stress your facotry wiring for turning on all 4 tubes.. cuz it might not work anyays. where to get one.. any small eelectronics store.. . or marine store.. heres a link.. http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs...key=SiteSearch
..also if your powering an amp in your turnk. runa heavier gauge from teh batt throught eh braker & put an maxi fu se block in teh back.. any car aduio place has those.. they're like a regular atc fuse but just wayy bigger & in higher powers

 

hopefully this gave you some direction to go in.. this kind of woring with fuse blocks & ground blocks amkes intalls and upgrades soo much easier and ti doesnt take much more time to do it righ the frist time. and prevent fires and equpiment damage .. and remember.. ify ou hook it up wrong. and let the magic blue smoke out of any electrical compemnet. .. it will enver work again.. somethign about the blue smoke staying inside of compoments makes them work

 

how do you connect a fuse block?

 

just run a wire to it.

i run a fused 10 awg wire to mine.

 

connextino is easy.. it has a stud & a nut. so take yorue wi re crimp on a ring terminal. of appropriate si ze and screw it down. easy easy easy

 

so the fuse block has slots for fuses? and all you do I hook up you accessories to it?

 

yup has slots for a regular atc fuse. and little tabs that stick out the sides for each fuse. they take a regular femal spade termuinal. them ost common termial in teh world really.. just snaps on the tab and puta fuse in and bingo .. power!
