The damage on the Tempo looks like there was some rubbing and not just an impact. That rubbing is why there is what looks like maroon paint on it. So looking at the Tempo it looks like its plausible that is the guilty car.

However, if there was rubbing on the tC, then the tC should have some white paint on it. From the pics I'm not sure - there are a couple spots that might be some white paint but its hard to tell. If you have some white paint that exactly matches the color of the tempo I'd say you have about a 95% chance of match.

Its a little wierd that they parked right across the street if that is the guilty car - most people would park around the block or something to try to hide. If they were drunk or just really stupid they would park there, though.

Anyhow, without some sort of forensic match (which the police are NOT going to spend taxpayer money on, unless there was a homicide, kidnapping, or rape) you can never really be 100% sure it was them.

Its all part of why they sell insurance.

yea thats true... and the reason they parked there is because they live there... and they night before i told them i wasnt sure it was the white car because it was dark and all i saw was blackish marks on my car... and my paint didnt really come off anywhere... its all black scuffs rubbed onto my car( from there bumper) and a few clear coat scrapes but like you said the cops wont do any forensics on this deal so im going to live it down... BUT im going to take it to the most expensive place i can to get it estimated then take it to a good cheap body shop i know... so maybe it will cover my deductable... will the insurance cover my CAI if it got bent up in this deal?

"will the insurance cover my CAI if it got bent up in this deal?"

Yes but if you installed it yourself they'll only pay for a new part, and not a new install - you'll have to do it again yourself. Not that a CAI (especially when you've already done it once) is a tough install...

i just got my estimate... 2000 worth of visual damage... they havent looked any farther then that yet but i know at least my bottom bracket to the CAI is broke and on the fender you can see where the pipe is because the fender bent around it instead of pushing in on it...

That bracket breaks all the time anyway. I broke mine just by driving normally.

how would i go about fixing it or does it even need to be fixed? i do know that the fitting right after the MAF got jammed a little bit because the pipe doesnt line up right and its about to pop out of the rubber piece... they told me that they were going to do an alignment.... and i was supposed to put my s-techs on my car yesterday... do you think i can get them to wait a week or 2 to do the alignment till my springs settle in... i can put them in until the repairs are done because it will cause problems...

isn't the rubbing mark on the tempo on the wrong side for it to be the car that caused all this?

no, and the reason in say this is because of the angle that the car had to of been when it hit my car would of taken out my door and mirror and other things it backed out to the right, towrads the front end of my car.
