Default How do you smoke your tail lights?

Hehe, pretty self-explanatory.. What products or techniques can you use to smoke your tail lights? Or any light, for that matter. I'm not talking pitch black either, just a nice darker shade. I had never considered doing it before, so I don't have much knowledge. Thanks for the info!

You could pick up some overlays from Bluebatmobile.com. He's got 2 levels of tint The tails are a little tough to apply. You just ahve to be patient and go slow

A buddy of mine did it to his Talon and he said it was pretty straight forward. But it's a VERY light tint....Don't know exactly how it was done though.

Most of my friends just use the spray tint & wetsand/buff so it's nice & shiny. But it's a "paint" process & can't really be undone, so if you don't like it or want something different, you're stuck.

That's why I'll be going with overlays from Blue Batmobile.

you can use Vans lense spray for that stright JDM flava. its available in red, smoke, and yellow. unfortunately it costs $25 for a small spray can.
I love this stuff and swear by its toughness and lasting shine.

others have used a different spray brand called Nightshades.

people love it, but i've never met anyone who used it.
www.summitracing.com sells it for $13.39

people recommend Testor's, but i find that stuff isnt as shiny and flakes over time.

Nightshades is a cheap and quick alternative that is for sure. But is permanent and doesnt have the shine that our does. Plus when you are driving a 100 mph in reverse we are the only ones offering light protection.

If anyone needs any help let us know

Actually, if you wetsand it, it comes out just as shiny (if not shinier) than the stock lights. However, as Chad said, the downside is it's permanent.

Exactly. If you know that you are never gonna want to change the look of your ride down the line, painting is an oprion. My philosophy is that people in general like to change the look of their car's every so often. That's the great thing about my Overlays, you want to change the look down the line, they can be removed
