I dont know if im not trying hard enough to take off the cover of my tail lights (xB) but I want to take them off so I can paint them smoke. Please help!!!! Thanks!!!

Have you smoked them yet. Please post pix if you did. If you haven't, contact www.bluebatmobile.com He is going to put smoked overlays on my ride. this stuff is removable too if you find out you don't like it and runs for less than $20 bucks.

dont take off the outer cover just take the whole assembly out and mask off the area u dont want over spray ask any body shop to paint it for u with 2 stage blk then clear

 

unfortunately I havent yet but I have tint and I was thinking about using it but it might not turn out the way I want it to and I dont want to paint it either since I might change my mind about the looks. Since you mentioned that www.bluebatmobile.com can put smoked overlays Let me know when you get yours.Im interested in purchasing a set. Can they make overlays for the headlights???(both headlights including the grill in between)

Yes he can do the front headlights too. I'll let you know once he comes over to my house to get it done. He's also from San Diego.

Honestly, I think the stock tail lights look like cheap aftermarket imitations... i really don't like the frosted lens.

I'm planning on spraying some dark gray/black film onto it...i've seen some sprays at Japanese auto accessory stores...

do you guys recommend any specific brand or type?[/img]
