Yeah saw page 3. Those are nice but not really my taste. If there was a way to paint the silver housing inside bbm that would look mighty interesting.

 

I ended up redoing mine and didn't like the way it it came out. I think I'm gonna send them to that Jon's tinted tails or whatever.

 

It can be done, but you'd have to cut open the taillights. You can't bake 'em like the headlights, because they will melt.

 

Can you give me some more info on this? I wonder if it is possible to electroplate them blue blitz mica but witha chrome type finish. Similar to how the chromecoat plastic peices are made???

oooh I see, well I read the first 3 pages and then gave up, I wasn't gonna read all 8.
I did this before for my civic and it came out real nice even without sanding. I guess you gotta know how to use a spray can.

^^No problemo. I used the said approach but I used Vans Lens Paint instead of NightShades. We didn't wetsand all that much either. Still came out nice and shiny! I guess it all depends on what kind of a perfectionist you are.

Hmm did third break light....and of course messed it up somehow? So I got a question....If I had a run.....and it dried...would wet sanding it fix it? Or is there a better way to approach it? Its really bugging me...I didnt clearcoat either, cause I really wanna fix it..Help would be much appreciated ty

 

Yep, you should be able to sand it down.

so do you wetsand the tailights before you spray the first coat of night shades? or do you just wetsand after the nightshades dries and before the clear? i'm just not sure when people are wetsanding. i plan on doing this once spring comes. most people leave the lights on the car and just tape everything off right? i plan on doing the third brake light and maybe the mirror lights as well.

 

Wetsand after the VHT dries. I sanded after I got the darkness I wanted. Then you clear and sand some more. I found it easier to do with the taillights off, but then again I had an extra set. I also did my mirror turn signals while they were off of the car. Didn't need a second set as the mirror signals are small enough to do in one day.

Here's what I did with my turn signals:
