I have an 05 tC and I ordered some of the aluminum ringed LEDs from garage and they don't seem to work with my license plate lights. The LEDs do work, just not in the license plate lights like advertised.

That shows my problem. They are polarized and I put them in both ways and still nothing. So has anybody else had this problem? More looking for 05 owners even though most of the stuff on the tC hasn't changed between the years.

 

try bending the lil metal tabs on the led so it aligns with the contact points on the socket

 

one of my led have connection problem in the left license plate socket.. I swap it to the right side of the license plate. it was fine after that.
