Default License Plate Mounting with a Billet Grille --- HELP!

Does anyone have any suggestions??? I am getting my tC soon and want to put a Billet Grille on it, and bcus I live in LA I have to have a front license plate, too. I was looking at the license plate bracket from eight08customs, however, I don't think that it will work with a billet grille, and I certainly don't want my tC's bumper drilled... does anyone have any suggestions at all, other than throwing my front license plate out the window while driving. You see, I get pulled over for breathing wrong... I guess I just have one of those faces.

Anyway... thanks in advance!

I'm confussed....how would you mount a front plate even with the regular grill? I can't picture what the grill has to do with it. I think it has to go on the bumper....doesn't it?

Matt_a, there an aftermarket bracket that you can purchase from eight08customs.com (in Hawaii) that works for all Scions to prevent bumper drilling. When I order my car I am going to specifically ask that they not drill my bumper, I am going to figure something else out. If I have to I will have one custom made... but I was hoping that someone had a solution here...

You can always just ziptie it to the grill. It's cheap and effective.

GoSwim, that is an option I had not thought of... cost is not really an issue... just hoping for some ideas that are better than the dealer's option, the drill. I really like the bracket pictured above, now all I have to do is find out where to get it.

I like the zip tie idea. One thing though....if you really don't want the bumper drilled, you're going to have to make it 100% chrystal clear to the dealership, and even then, it might happen. Your sales person might know that you don't want it drilled, but if he forgets to tell anyone, or if the person he tells isn't around when they prep your car, it could still happen.

Matt_a, I am buying my car direct from the GM of the dealership, he and my Fiance are very close friends and they will all know that under no circumstances is that bumper to be drilled or it will be being replaced.

The thing that drives me crazy with all of this is it is not that hard to manufacture a license plate bracket... why in the hell did they not do it in the beginning?

Anyway, thank you so much to all of you for your ideas I appreciate the time you have taken to help me out.
