Default mcculloch HID harness question.

my HID kit should be comming in today. i got the mcculloch 6000k set with the upgrade harnesses that take power from your battery directly. my question is since the power is taken directly from the batt. that means it wont need to be plugged into the stock harness for power. does this mean ill have my stock harnesses dangling around under the hood? any help is appreciated

yes it will still need to be connected to your stock harness buy only to power the relay

the ballast is basicly connect straight to the battery (WITH A FUSE IN-BETWEEN I HOPE) and the ground is basicly the car chassis and ONE stock harness will connect to the relay that comes with your "Upgraded harness" so you can power the relay and turn on ur headlights.

yea tekka is right, the hid harness needs the power from the stock harness so it "knows" when to turn on

i bought mine and hers from xenonpros.com also. mine came with an adapter plug that plugs directly to the stock plug that goes to the stock light bulb. then those wires run inline with the igniter and relay. after the wires come out of the relay you should have two wires that are set up to plug directly to the hid bulb that comes in the kit. you should not have any plug of any kind dangling anywhere. if you do i would be calling them up wondering whats going on.

from my experiance they are a good company. bought two kits and no problems.
