It looks pretty good, but if water is getting in through the sides then is it not an oem fit? Id did look like there was a little gap in there in some of the pics. If you can post pics in the daytime so its light outside and everything is alot more clear. thanx

uh oh.....

I'm about 15 mins away and I want one now....must find out wtf is up with the wrinkles and stuff.

I think the rainguard is literally like a tray that fits over the vent making it non-functional. It looks like a fat catcher tray thing from a Foreman Grill. Look at the beneath the hood pics.

the hood looks great, but seems a little narrow, as in I can see into the engine bay from the seams on the sides

so like i was saying, i wrote an email to the company that makes the hood about the wrinkles and all. well here is the email To: and From:

**Hi, I was interested in the new Carbon Fiber Vented Hood for the '05 Scion tC that
you have. I have seen pictures of this hood that was posted on ScionLife.com.
>
>The hood looks great and Im very interested in buying ASAP. There is 1 concern that
I have. In the picture there were a few "wrinkles" or slight defects in the CF
around the Vent. Is this a problem that happens to all the CF hood that require
bends near the vent or was this just a acciedent that is beyond control?
>
>If I buy this hood, it will be for show use and I dont want any visual defects.
Please let me know so I can make a decision.**

**Response **

The wrinkle is on every hood because we use 1 whole piece of fabric
instead of multi pieces. Carbon fabric aren't stretchable like other
fabrics. Using the vaccum infusion method, the hood is lighter and
stronger.

If you want something perfectly layout then you should look into overlay
method offered by other companies.

Or OEM style hood that we also offer has not wrinkle weaves.

Sincerely,
AITracing.com

-----So i might have to come up with a creative and good looking way to paint this hood over any defects or wrinkles
