Default New Mod!

Let me first say that i know how opinionated SL members are but that won't stop me from posting this.

There is no turning back! I cut a BIG @$$ hole in my bumper! I found this idea on the DYNOCOMP WRX STi (i talked to the owner of that car, thanks for the info!)and it is typicaly used for cooling your brakes while racing. I decided that it would be different to have a direct air feed to the intake (kind of like a cold air intake).

I ordered the parts after a week of thinking about it and said "what the hell." The parts were really cheap and it cost no labor but my own. After a few hours in the garage, here is the finished product...

What do you think?

Not bad. I wouldn't do it to my car but I think it looks pretty sick. Kudos. I'd do something about that tow hook tho. Maybe get a better looking one if you like the tow hook look.

I think the hoods sick. Silver CF right?

If you get a weapon r ari filter you can connect the hose to the air filter...Its not my cup of tea but it looks ok. Are you going to do both sides...

did you have any issues with the weave pattern with the colored cf hood? i used to have one on my RSX had to go through three different ones to get one that didn't have a messed up weave but still had minor imperfections haha...

ya it looks a lot worse in that pic than in real life, those small spots were the most minor of imperfections compared to the other ones they sent me, idk why it was so hard for them to get it right, thats why I was asking if there are issues with colored carbon fiber

Its different. Not to bad. But did you notice any gains in performance and aren't you a little worried about water entering possibly through there.

I actually haven't driven the car yet. I don't really drive my car in the rain and i don't think that water will be a problem. It it rained, i could always move the hose out of the way.

I've had some suggestions from some of the people in my car club. I need to get the APR splitter. I'm actually ordering it tomorrow and a different wing too.
