Looks OEM! :D

Very cool, when you opened them up you should of got a giant bright white LED puck and replace the whole reverse reflector.

What temperature did you end using to bake them and how long?

Thanks guys! that's what I was going for.. clean if it looked OEM, just another plus. I guess I could've done something like Clearcorners but man, I just don't have that patience.

I tried baking them.. I think it was somewhere just north of 200 deg F and still melted the outer lens. That's why I had to dremel the whole damn thing open.

I like my Anzos and all but i think i want something less common then solid red LEDs. I still have my stocks and may give it a try.

Sounds good man. I'll get some cleaner shots Friday and maybe it'll help you decide if you like em better than ANZOs.

Took me some time to just sit and look at the small details and play the process in my head so if you got any questions, feel free to PM me. Also, I offered to do a set for a guy so that's on the table too if you're interested.

I still have the light with the 'stain' in it (pic on previous page) if you or anyone else wants one to practice on, before jumping in and possibly f'ing up your good lights.

I had the thought of modding the factory 08+ tail lights. I never liked how they moved the reverse light to the top so I plan on relocating it the the small reflector in the lower corner. I also plan on converting to LEDs in all the lights and a little surprise for the action of the turn signals I'll start a thread

Nice! I never really liked the 08 taillights mainly because it has 3 red circles and looks too busy. If you're making the lower reflector different from the two red center ones, it'll definitely be a major improvement.

Sounds like you've got a whole overhaul going on lol what's going in the spot where the reverse is then?

If you want to get that line under the turn signal like the ClearCorners had, you can use EL wire, as well as for the ring around the brake light.

Yea best design I've come by but that was his idea and I'd rather fetch up the money than steal what appears to be a design cue on many of his products, if you know what I mean. I was just inspired by a jetta we have in the family and I'll just get high output LEDs bulbs to compensate for the tinted turn sigbals and call it a day ;)

Just FYI, they haven't been making those for a few years now...I know a couple people who want them *hint hint*. I still need to find a donor for the 08-10 tails D:

To put simply yes, but there's more details to it if you want to do it right. Most of the time spent was running the procedure through my head over and over lol & prepping. Sent you a message.
