I would personally go with SATA they make awesome spray guns. It also depends on what you mean by "small". You could do the SATAminijet. Awesome gun for small spot repairs or even some custom spraying. It has a really nice small tight pattern. I have one and I like it a lot. OR for you everyday spraying SATA Nr3000.
Heres a gun set from devilbiss that i found on ebay i guess its a starter kit for beginner painters i was thinkin bout gettin it myself since im not really gonna be painting anything big later on until i work. tell me what you think

ey flea i found this gun on ebay which claims to spray solvent and waterbase kinda looks like ur gun im thinkin bout gettin it. but im gonna need a gun for primer and clear

Wow, well you live in Cali so that's why. Really the only main thing that makes it spray waterbase is the stainless steel components. Its really nice to have three guns if you have the money. Primer/sealer. Basecoat. Clear.
