I just wanted to commend FLEA for an awesome job on the badge less garnish that he did for me. The paint in matched perfectly, the fitment in tight and your customer service is extraordinary. I look forward to doing business with you in the future.

I would highly recommend the services that FLEA provides. You get what you pay for and I can assure you that his work is top notch.

Hi Flea.

I have A question for you. Since all paint has gone from solvent to water base paint
how is anyone going to be able to paint parts any more since the water base paint takes a certant fan or something like that in order for the paint to cure and harden.
At least thats what ive been told. Can you inlighten me on what the truth is on this matter because I have a RS1 lip kit im going to need painted here soon, And my paint guy told me he can no longer paint because of the above noted reasons. Is this true or not.

That's true. Some of the things I liked about solved based paint was the shelflife on it (1 year or more), no certain tools to make dry were required, cheap, etc. Water based paint is good in a number of ways. It has a lower VOC which helps the environment, easier to spray, lays down nicer than solvent did (almost no signs of orange peel), etc.

Some things I don't like about the water based paint is it's shelflife is only about 6 months then it goes bad, if you shake up the paint/reducer, you'll get air bubbles in the paint (was told this by a professional painter), and the drying process does in fact involve use of a dryer/air gun that helps the paint dry and harden.

Fortunately, I still have quite a bit of solvent paint leftover. 2 pints of FM, 1 quart of BSP, and 1 pint of GGM.

Kind of hesitant to paint anything for anyone else. The owner of the pieces above told me flat out that he wasn't satisfied with it.

true that! if you think you can do a better job, then do it yourself. I think FLEA's stuff is flawless. And for him to do all this stuff for us is more than most people are doing on this website.

^I was referring to the pictures at the very top of the page. The owner just really got on my nerves. He asked if I would paint his wheel caps for him and I said no. First time I ever turned away work. Glad I had him meet me at my sister-in-law's house and not my residence.

I would've put up a argument, but I just didn't want anything to do with him. He was literally acting like a little kid.

It's not so much that, but the fact he was pouting like a 5 year old. He accepts the work, not saying anything and 24 hours later he says he's not satisfied.

That's like going to a bodyshop, having them do a paintjob, you accept the work, and then 24 hours later say you don't like it.

thanks bro. If he wants to cry like a baby then let him do it. You just sit back and nod your head. When he first saw it he should have said something. When I do work on a car people come right back if something is not working right. They dont wait a day then come back. Obviously they wanted to nit pick everything.

FLEA we all know you do AMAZING work. And i have not even received my parts from you, and I have allready recommended you to a bunch of my friends. Dont let it get to you, some people just expect too much. And they can never be pleased.

Not necessary, but ok. Just today I had 3 random people call me up and ask for prices on front and rear bumpers getting repainted (BMW, Toyota, Nissan), they said they heard about me through word of mouth.
