Default Parking light out on passenger side.. Help

I unplugged my passenger side front light, and now I am having a problem with the parking light. Everything else on it works fine, but the parking light is out. The Dealership was telling me, that I have to replace the whole head light for $300... Does my car need to do a reset or something for it to work? It is an 08 Scion TC, so I dont believe there is anything wrong with that light. Has anyone else had this problem?

Maybe the parking light bulb burned out, replace it to see if anything happens.

could be a burnt bulb or possibly the harness for the parking light and side amber light check the plugs for corrosion.

I see no reason why you would need to replace the entire headlight. If that is the only parking light that's out, it's probably the bulb.

If replacing the bulb doesn't solve the problem check for a blown fuse, and if that still doesn't solve the problem the harness could be at fault.

if it's just the passenger side, then it's not the fuse.

i suspect the bulb is just blown. switch the bulb out from the driver side headlight to confirm.
