no its not that im giving you a thumbs down, you have a nice car, and i want you to be able to have nice things. me, i would feel bad for you if i saw your kit crack or chip or whatever, thats why im set on authentic. just wouldnt want someone to go through the hassles of fiberglass kits.

lmao... Thomas Edison changed the world... are you saying Kaminari did too?
... I'm sure "Kaminari" are happy with their bank account by now. "KGS Engineering" makes me happy with mine. ^.^

We are all part of Scionlife, yet so many *thumbs down* in my direction
i think he may be saying that the Kaminari name can get a bad look with knockoff kits having bad fitments and poorly done. to the unknowing person, you see a kaminari kit w/o badges, but when it starts getting fitted it's not kaminari type fitment at all. i had a body kit that would have looked smooth, not a kaminari knockoff, but the fitment was poor. and i could have spend the money to make it fit but decided:
1) i didn't want to spend that money or time w/o my car
2) didn't want to ride around with a jacked up looking kit in the meantime
3) didn't want to support a company by rocking their product, even after i had the fitment perfect
i'm from the car mod capital (SoCal) and am currently stationed in the runner-up city (miami), so you know i could have made it work in either location.

in most cases, you get what you pay for; and this is especially true when it comes to body kits, wheels, suspension and performance. now that's not to say that the most expensive are always the best, or that some thing with a reasonable price can't be good.

another off-brand Kaminari:
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7772
and he did it himself with help from some friends.

another thought i had was; when/if i do bottom out or crack it i would rather it be a cheap replacement, rather than having to buy another $500+ bumper

the stock bumpers are made with the one of the best materials.... and it cracked... I'd rather have a cheap off-brand replacement part if i go and crack this one too.

Yeah I know about that weather crap. I'm moving into a new townhouse with my own garage so i'll probably pick that bumper and the BC2 side up and make them fit and get them painted by summer if all goes well.

you can see that even the stock bumpers etc aren't perfectly matched in color
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...896&highlight=
so if this after-market isn't perfect i wont care much.

so far I've got the rear bumper cut and fitted. the tabs on each side were a beotch. I spent 3 hours on it so it doesn't look bad. gonna do the side skirts next.
