PLZ HELP!!!!DOES ANY ONE KNOW THE THEFT RATE ON A SCION TC?
yea alarms are pointless.. Go with a killswitch and maybe a wheel shoe.. and if you can afford it get GPS so you can track it after it is stolen (although it will probably be torched)..
I heard one report of a hot tc going for $800 in at the illegal street races someplace in nj... No one wanted it so after a few minutes the guy torched it...
These are pretty easy to steal, like most cars. If someone wants it then it will take no more then 5 minutes to be in and out...

and I know a civic that had an alarm (disabled in half a beep), steering wheel lock, and maybe some more stuff that was stolen not too long ago. It was done right out in the open in a parking lot..
If you want to deter a thief get an Auto lock. It goes on the break or clutch pedal depending on your trans. I had it on my Integra and it never got stolen. It is the best and cheapest security other then a kill switch. I also have Lojack on my cars as well, which I believe will help out in case it was stolen.

I actually think the tC theft rate might go up. I see a lot of tCs now on the road than Civics (maybe it's because I live in socal). All these girls driving tCs and old ladies. I have nothing against them, but it just makes the tC a Civic now.
