Default Problems with HID after accident

Hi everyone,

I just got my 05 tC back from the body shop yesterday. i had an accident half a month ago that broke the front bumper and fenders.

The shop re-installed my headlamps ( werent broken in the accident ), which i previously had HID plug and play kits installed. So instead of puttin my HID bulbs back on, they installed some stock sylvaniabulbs, and left the HID bulbs in my glovebox.

I tried myself to put them back on, since everything else are still there under the hood. the lights went on, however, they are not white and bright like HID at all, but some weak yellow, even weaker than the stock.

Does anyone know what's going on here? thanks in advance

for the two wires coming out from the ballasts, i plug one to the HID bulb, and the other to the stock harness, correct?

u sure they're the hid bulbs? maybe they turned the stock bulbs on w/ the hid ballast n screwed up the ballast. check the fuse as well.

Perhaps they touched the bulb? I don't know how long it takes for oils to damage a HID bulb, but maybe they mis-handled it.

They are HIDs bulbs....but i guess check the wiring and if it looks good and seem to have no problem then get a pair of new HID bulbs....def. get the body shop to pay for that...i mean the had to fix everything back to how it was right??? might as well take advantage of that
