i didnt use LEDs for the hatch lights. i just went to Advanced Auto parts and found some Blue bulbs that matched size and Watt for like $6. put them in and they are just fine. the only thing is they are more Whitish with a blue hue, than actual BLUE

Default tag lights

if you will find the post about how to change your interior lights to LED's those leds are the same size as the ones necessary to change your tag lights to leds. I put blue ones in and they are very bright at night and they also had white ones for sale

Are there any laws concerning tag-lights? It's ok to change to whatever you want?

I simply put higher wattage white light bulbs in my old car. It really lightened up the license plate, attractivly I thought.

Sorry, I never took a picture of the car with the license plate lights on. Sold it three months ago. The original lights had a yellowish tinge. The new lights were distinctivly white. It made the plate stand out more. Not everyone wants that, but I thought it was nice. The car was a black 1990 Celica GT.
