Default Quick question about projectors and HIDs.....

Do you need projectors to run HIDs? I was just wondering because i like the stock housing of the 04 - 07 models and im planning on getting some 6000K HIDs. Do i need projectors if im getting these HIDs without getting pulled over due to the glare using the stock housing or whats up?

Wow...someone is having a good day.

To the original poster. You don't need projectors to run HIDs. HIDs come with a bulb and ballast, and the good kits come with a harness to reduce load on the stock harness. Very important safety measure if you ask me. I have the 6000K in mine and havn't been flashed once. However you do need to make sure the cut off line is not too high b/c then it will be in oncoming drivers eyes. It is illegal but I have yet to hear of anyone that got pulled over b/c of it when they are set up correctly.

Here is a link to the a guy selling the kit I got for 140 shipped. Includes bulbs, ballast, and harness and 1 yr warranty. Complete plug and play. If you have a problem with the kit upon arrival then he takes care of you ;) He's an awesome guy and seller.

You have a tC so no need for the bi-xenon kit. You just need the single for the low beams, you can do highs as well with another kit but I never use my highs out here so it would be a waste for me.

He's saying to get them right b/c the tC has only been out from 05-08. The lights are the same on 05-07 and then 08s got projectors, no biggie really. You live and learn and learning is so much fun :D

indeed, i love mondays! However, these threads come along about 3 a day. Simple search for "HID's" and im sure within the first couple of threads you can have your answer. Or even check out the sticky. Its a sticky for a reason. Search next time before you post.

/rant!

no...Cell processor and AMD Phenom quad cores FTMFW

The day Intel makes a decent proc without a cloud of BS will be the same day that Ford makes a decent running car and consequently the same day Hell will freeze over. Hmm what are the odds
