Default rs-1 lip kit

I am purchasing a rs-1 lip kit this month and I was just curious on what I'll be spending to have it painted. Anyone who already has it and could tell me what they spent would help alot.

300-500 for a quality job is a realistic estimate... just make sure they color match acurately...

Most good shops get paid 34-38 an hour for paint labor, and 10 bucks less then the labor for paint supplies.
So if it takes 2 hours at 38, I say 132 dollars, plus 13 tax, and 15 miss. BS. So around 160-180. Trust me i work in a body shop. We repair car's for Statefarm, Nationwide, Enterprise(All new models) and Travelers from time to time. We give about 2-3 hours paint time for a whole bumber. So don't let them charge you more that 2.5 hours which is still to much 1 front lip. Also make sure you go to a shop that gives you life time warrenty on paint, or atleast 5-10 years. Lastly shop around and don't BS. Tell them that you're shopping around for a better price and if they do it for less get it done there. That simple. Also what color you painting it? So tell don't tell you it's special paint.

Not the same plus did you add a clear coat? Secound spray paint doesn't have flex aditve which helps paint stick to plastic.

Well, im not too picky when it comes to perfection but i used plastic spray paint with a clear coat. Held up for about 8 months now. =P But most ppl take it professional and looks/feels great.

Then again you have a black car. Not too many shades of black. PSP is a glossy black. I guess it would come out okay but the spray paint dosn't have pearls in it. Other colors are harder to match and anyways we getting of suject.

i have the kit on my car..

well i only have the front lip, but i picked up the sides and rear today.

i have a BSP and i use armor all wipes on the lip to make it shiny, i havent painted it yet, and steve.. the owner of Bbist thought that the lip was painted.. so i guess it must look good huh?

but for a white car.. im not sure, i guess 300-400 is a good price for paintin the lip kit, i know its more than what the other guy said, but thats what they should charge, because most shops will charge by the hour even when paint is dryin.
