I feel what your saying but these are aftermarket lights, and I doubt the neon is the only carf they make these for. Most aftermarket companies stick with the same general design from car to car. I think some of these made for the tC could be modded into something cool. Because the lights are so plane, not icey altezas, they are very versitile and can be personalized.

for the people saying they arent bright and are crap. i doubt u've actually seen them on a car. they are NOT dim lights. and at night they trully do look great. of course tho. haters gonna hate. i can respect a opposed opinion. but either way i still think they look great and im sure alot of minds would change if they saw a set on a black tC. oh well.

 

lol. i hate for a reason.. they arent quality leds.. PERIOD! there 5mm's.. which 90% of the time are small viewing angle 15 degree ish.. you get off the side a little and boom, the light is gone.. why do you think every vehicle manufacture that makes led tails uses either snap or superlfux led's? and im not talking aftermarket, im talking factory tails.. superflux's viewing angle is upwards and onwards of 45-90 degree's.. and have 4 X's the flux rating than crap 5mm's.. now dont get me wrong, there are some decent 5mm's, but they are rare.. superflux is the way to go.. if you believe in these so much, put them next to a new accord.. take picts at 15 degree incriments going to the left or right.. after your first one, i bet you loose these tails and the accord is still smoking at 40ish... i can make tails out of SMT led's and they can look great, wont be legal, but i can make them look ___taboulus... but if you dont have the lumens, your output = crap... exactly how many led tails have you retro'd/made yourself? circuit design and all? and what led's did ya use?

 

who whoa whoa this wasnt spose to turn into a personal attack. im not pretending to have all the answers on lighting and how many lumens. im purely speaking about the design of the tails. if u wanna make a more effective version of these by all means have at it and i'll be ur first buyer. i totally just meant that i like these tails and im sure there are sum that wont like it just cuz they dont want to or cuz they were designed for a SRT4. i cant speak for quality since i dont own the SRT4 i saw them on. please dont attack me. geez...scion life.

"haters are gonna hate" its not the design, its the products they used that i dont agree w/.. i will not support some tails that someone just put led's into to say they are led.. they need to be of quality to get my support.. design is ok, but they gotta be functional and quality.. alls i's sayin

These aren't even made for the tC, so isn't the point of thread asking some company to make a tailight for the tC with this style? Then any quality issues with these srt lights are irrelevant, we are only talking about the style. If you think the style sucks that's cool. But, any suggestions about what type of LEDs to use can be given if or when someone decides to make these, by the way I doubt it will ever happen, but its fun to dream. But, I am not sure how this turned into a "these lights are crap" discussion when, in terms of the tC, they don't even exist.

you posted up tails.. i commmented on the tails and their quality as i've see them.. if the same manufacture was going to make them, they would most certainly use the same style and led.. so, not sure how i was so wrong to comment on the quality? and they look cheap IMO.. reguardless of the led style.. and isnt that what the point of this thread is? hmm...
