Default tail light paint problem

I do body work but im actually stumped as to whats goin on... i vht my tails and when i went to clear i got alot of solvent pop and fish eyes. So i wetsanded all texture out until everything was smooth and recleared and i still keep getting fish eyes. Ive also sanded and recleared acouple times to see if it would help but it didnt. Its weird because its only on one tail light. The other is fine and ive done this to multiple cars/lights and cant figure out whats goin on... any input on this?

there is something causing it to react are you making sure the light is properly cleaned and dryed before clearing?

true, it must have just been one of those things that just happens for no reason. glad you were able to fix them though.

I've had the same thing happen, on a TYC tail and on a third brake light. More than fisheyes, these were 'cracks' that appeared on the surface, actually went down into the plastic itself. I've tinted multiple tails and TBLs, but it only happened on these two particular parts. I did the same - resanded and prepped, same thing kept happening over and over. Other side tail came out fine, two other TBLs I was spraying at the same time also came out fine. It looks like some kind of chemical reaction, between the plastic and the clear coat. Very strange.

And just for the record, yes, that does look like crap. This is how it looks normally.

Don't remember - maybe 2 or 3. Works best if you do it in light coats, until you get the darkness you want.
