Default Waterproofing cathode transformers.

A while back my front and driver side cathode underbody lights died. I didn't really care much since I didn't use them much but I was bored today and figured I might as well fix them. I found 3 blown transformers, All cathodes worked fine(I was impressed cuz I've had these on for almost 2 years now). Now I'm curious, how have you guys waterproofed your transformers, I threw mine in a ziplock bag and called it a day, obviously that didn't work. Now I'm thinkin about sealing the transformers with epoxy, however i'm wondering if that would cause heat issues. Any ideas?
