Philips doesnt make "kits", and all of those are ebay quality.

I would definitely not go any higher than 6000k. If your going to use them in your stock housing get 6000k so you can have some color but if you retro fit use 4300k. If you go any higher than 6000k you will get a lot of blue and harrassment from cops.

I didn't know that toyota has HID kit, or is this some type of fraud again. There is so many Kit sellers out there claim that they sell Phillips manufactured kit. But phillips don't make kits. I'm assuming the same thing with Toyota. Correct me if I am wrong though.

its the setup that you find as oem in Lexus' and Toyota's manufactured by Denso. And the bulbs I have are real Phillips D2R bulbs.

I have an 8K eBay kit.

It's not even that blue.

It's more white to be honest.

I think it depends on who you buy it from.

I paid $120 shipped, no tax and I'm happy with them.

It is true that 4300K are brighter than higher temp bulbs. But using these 4300K on OEM stock headlights will have negative repercussion on other drivers. The halogen reflectors will output lights at an uncontrollable range, and consequently, you will blind other drivers driving against you or in front of you. Many Kit users will deny this fact, but you can do research outside of SL if you want. There are several studies stated that improper use of HID on halogen reflectors is hazardous

there is also a noticable difference in glare between the D2S and D2R bulbs in the oem housing. D2S bulbs are made for projector housings while D2R bulbs are made for reflector housings.

You're right. D2R is for reflectors and D2S and D1S is for projectors. But, there are two types of reflector; HID reflectors and halogen reflectors. tC has halogen reflectors. D2R only goes to HID reflectors, like the old G35. As for the output difference between D2R and D2S on tc reflectors, I have no clue since I never compare them side by side.

Vote on philips
ditto on phillips do no make HID kits; however, aftermarket companies usually do a rebase of the D2S bulb to fit any particular car

Comment on osram, it gives off this yellow peachy color O_O
