wow, and i thought i got hit by a car door and it didnt leave any paint

i noticed this "flex of death" about a month ago and still havent done anything about it

mine is a vertical crease about 1" long, its right on the body line on the driver side rear panel

it annoys the **** out of me whenever i see it but most of the time it goes ignored

im so glad i found this thread, i will go to the local dealership soon and see what they have to say about it

I thought I was the only one who had this! It's on the rear quarter panel passenger's side. I was thinking it had to be a ding from a car door or maybe even a rock. Had this for about a year and a half. I try really hard to ignore this as much as possible but can't seem to...**** retentive like that.

ok so i went to my local dealership (wolfchase scion)

and i went to the service department to ask if they had heard of this

they told me that scion corp. has not sent out any bulletins explaining this problem so they are not able to fix it under warranty... they said i would have to pay around 60 to get it removed...

its not worth it IMO since you can only see it from a certain angle so im just not gunna deal with it right now

i am, however, wondering what the dealership told you guys (that got it fixed) which allowed them to fix it under warranty

That's what I'm trying to find out too. I am local to Milwaukee and want to know what dealer here fixed to OP's car under warranty, so I can find out more about this. I haven't heard back from 1AZ yet.

don jacobs scion did mine and a few others but we know everyone pretty well since we where club members but you never no till you go and ask!

like i said tho mine came back so i just said screw it !
you can only go there and say hey whats up before they just say we fixed it a few times were not gonna do it anymore!

i cant complain it was fixed for free .
but came back so i give up!

I'm OCD x10 and this is not a big deal.
I mean, most of you didn't even see it until you saw this thread and then went to look for it!
If someone can post a pic that it shows up in, then you might have a gripe, otherwise, go drive your tC and have some fun!

i agree until scion actually does anything about this

99% of us will not be able to get it fixed permanently so

like sciontcya said dont sweat it .

At first i thought some a-hole leaned against my car and dented it. Good to know other tc suffer from it. : )

I have the exact same vertical crease. I was convinced it was caused by a car door, but even if it's a real defect I can tell you right now my dealership won't do a damn thing about it. They were overjoyed when my warranty expired, and still try to convince me from time to time my extended warranty doesn't cover X issue I'm having with my tC. [/i]
