Searched but couldn't find the maximum engine speed for the '07. Anyone know for certain the answer, and have a source?? Thanks.

I believe it's 6600 or so, this is based off a dyno sheet from a stock 07 auto. There is 1 member w/ an 07 that has bounced off the limiter a few times... dont remember his username. I have taken my car up to 6500 a few times but never passed that point.

6,500 in your car, eh? Anyone else confirm max permissible engine speed before cut?

6300 sounds about right for 05-06.

the 07 will rev up to 6500 before the rev limiter hits. and it also "hits" differently than the prior years. it doesn't bounce quite like the rest i think it's a fuel cut instead of spark or something. it's somehow different not sure how but it is. the higher rev limit i believe should make the 07 a LITTLE quicker, you can rev each gear out a little further and also when you shift into the next gear you're at a higher rpms which should put you further in the peak powerband of the engine.

for example, i know for a fact the 07 can do 84-85mph in 3rd and people with 05-06's are saying it's impossible.

I think the 05's are closer to 81-82 before you bounce off the limiter in 3rd.
