Cel problem
Hi,
I put a pop charger on my car and now im getting a check engine light. I tried to reset the computer and it came back on after about 30 minutes of driving. All i did was replace the top of the airbox and the thing the MAF sits on. Its got a cone filter on it now. Please help, I dont want to bring it to the dealership down here cause they are jerk offs

Pop charger?
Whatever you did is probably messing with you MAF...
Got pics of what you did?.. .that may help...
Got to autozone and they'll read your code for free.... you'll be able at least to see a bit what the problem is...

Never heard anybody call a filter a pop charger before..ever. Anyways, as we drive scions said, you have probably caused the MAF to get erratic readings which is throwing the CEL. If you put it back to stock it will likely go away.
a lot of people have posted their problems with a custom short rams and the CEL. i got a reading by the OBD II reader at autozone and got the P0171 Code(running too lean). im gonna put my stock aair box back on and see if its just the intake or is my maf damaged.
