The best way to learn is to do the job incorrectly. Then you have to do it at least twice. I think it's just a subconscious excuse for me to go back down to parts.

Concrete blocks like I see in that picture can shatter under that load. That is the MUCH mroe dangerous than a decent set of jack stands.

As far as lying under a car all day.. .at 28 you shouldnt be caring about that much My father still does it all day every day at 62 ... and has for over 40 years!

alright so today, i dealt with some major slippage in second gear. this has never happened before, and i know it must be the clutch. I do have the 100k extended warranty, and was wondering if the clutch will be covered under it. I has 52k miles on the car. If the warranty does not cover it, how easy is the clutch to replace? I do have a lift available, and all the applicable tools. Just want a time frame to see if its worth it to do myself, or have someone else do it for an outrageous price. Also, I checked out the Stage 1 Dezod clutch that they offer on the site, is that a good basic one to have over OEM?

How do you figure the clutch overheated? The disc looks fine except the damage to the spring it looks like someone was really hard and dumped the clutch.
