Clutch Chatter
when i push down the clutch pedal, i hear a quiet, but clearly audible "chattering" from the tranny. When i let the pedal up, it stops.
i've had the clutch squeak forever (which i recently resolved with some WD40), and originally, this chatter started as a prolongation of the squeak. aka. i push the pedal down, hear the squeak as its going down, and once the pedal is fully depressed, the chattering starts. Now that the squeak is gone, i just hear the chatter.
also, when i put the clutch pedal down and rev the engine, i hear a very raspy, chattery sound at the beginning of the rev that seems to be coming from the t case.
anyone else???? or am i the only one with a totally pos clutch assembly.

Damn, were you born slow? or do you not think before you speak like your other post?
ah, if it were an aftermarket clutch, don't u think i would have specified that important tidbit of info???? lol...
usually, when someone says, "i have a problem with my [clutch]"...they are referring to the stock/factory part...unless they otherwise specify.
i'd say you have to be born slow and not think before you blow your money on a company like ZPI.
back on topic now please.
fyi, the clutch itself seems to hold fine, ie. no slipping. its just that it feels like it doesn't engage when it shouldn, and its not as crisp as it should be. clutch chatter is usually related to the throw out bearing right?

Stock motor and stock tranny (stock clutch and flywheel obviously)
45K, its an 05. Clutch has been outrageously squeaking since about 5K... chattering just started within last 10-15K.
of course, the techs and service manager at my dealership say they can't hear it. ROFL!!!! :D hilarious. so i'll be taking it to a different dealership this time.
